How does Christmas Box Work?

How it Works
Christmas Box is a charity designed to support tamariki, whānau and communities in need at Christmas. Through our nationwide network, we provide food essentials and festive treats, care and connection to thousands of Kiwi families living in hardship every year. Together, this is how we make it happen.
Donors
Your generosity is all it takes to start the journey for a family to be blessed this Christmas.
Partners
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and partners like Sanitarium and Bad Baker, a $40 donation becomes over $60 worth of food.
Volunteers
More than 2,000 volunteers throughout New Zealand come together to pack the food into Christmas Boxes.

What’s in a Christmas Box
Each Christmas Box is packed with around 20 pantry staples and festive treats — everything a family needs to enjoy a brighter Christmas. From essentials like pasta, rice, and canned goods, to special treats like chocolates, biscuits, and confectionery, every item is chosen to bring help and hope to families doing it tough. It’s more than just food in a box — it’s a reminder that Kiwis helping Kiwis can make Christmas brighter for everyone.
